How To Remove Google Analytics from Squarespace

By following this step-by-step tutorial, you can effortlessly remove the Google Analytics integration from your site. This guide will help you remove this feature:

Step 1: Access Squarespace Settings


Log in to your Squarespace account and head to your website's dashboard.



Step 2: Access Developer Tools


Once you're in the dashboard:
Click on "Settings"
Select "Developer Tools" from the menu.


Step 3: Access External API Keys


Under Developer Tools, you'll find an option called "External API Keys." Click on it.



Step 4: Locate Google Analytics Integration


Scroll through the External API Keys page and look for the built-in Google Analytics integration. It's usually found at the top of the page.



Step 5: Remove Google Analytics Integration.


If you see the GA4 measurement ID added and wish to remove it, find the option to remove or disable the integration. This may appear as a button or link. Alternatively, you can delete the ID from the designated field and save your changes.



Step 6: Confirm Removal


After removing the integration, return to the Developer Tools menu and revisit the "External API Keys" section. Make sure that the Google Analytics integration has been successfully removed.



Step 7: Verify Changes


Finally, you can visit your website to verify that Google Analytics tracking has been removed.
