Troubleshooting: "Waiting for Data"
If you're seeing the message "Waiting for Data" on your Bot Badger dashboard, it indicates that Bot Badger has not been successfully installed on your website or your website has not received any visitors after installing the tag.
There is a 5-10 minute delay from when the first visitor triggers Bot Badger and when you will see your domain turn to an operational status.
If it has been longer than 15 minutes since you have had a visitor on the website after installing Bot Badger, you will want to following the steps below to ensure setup has been completed successfully.
Step 1: Add a Domain
Before you can proceed with the installation of Bot Badger, you must add a domain to your Bot Badger account. Click here for step-by-step instructions to add a domain to your Bot Badger account.
Step 2: Add Your Google Tag Manager Container ID
To ensure proper integration with Bot Badger, you need to add your Google Tag Manager Container ID. Click here for instructions on how to find your Google Tag Manager Container ID and add it to Bot Badger.
Step 3: Uninstall Google Tag Manager and/or Google Analytics From Your Site
Because Bot Badger works by selectively loading Google Tag Manager, you'll need to uninstall Google Tag Manager and/or Google Analytics from your site if it is already installed. How you go about doing this is different, depending on the content management system (CMS) you use to manage your website. Step 4: Install Bot Badger On Your Website
